Scarf Basics for Beginners

Scarf Basics for Beginners
• If you knit 1 row & purl the next row (stocking stitch) the scarf will ALWAYS curl at the edges.
• When you are ready to change balls of yarn, switch at the beginning of the row. Tie a loose knot leaving about 5 inches of tail – you will weave in the ends later.
• the average width for a winter scarf is 6”, for a skinny scarf is 4”
